137 Exercise Program Manager/Management Course
TRAINING PURPOSE
AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this
course is to assist federal, state, and local personnel in implementing
their roles and responsibilities as exercise program managers/management.
The course structure parallels the exercise program design and development
process. The exercise program process can be viewed as a cycle starting
with program development, progressing to program implementation, and ending
with program review and revision. The work products developed during the
course can be used by the exercise program manager to develop or upgrade
his or her exercise program.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This training is
designed for personnel who have been selected to supervise or manage the
development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive exercise
program. In general, the target audience includes representatives of numerous
federal departments and agencies at national and regional levels, as well
as state and local personnel and representatives from the private sector.
This course was released
by FEMA October 1997. The course will take approximately 20 hours to complete.
There are seven modules and one appendice. The course files are less than
one megabyte for the benefit of low bandwidth (14.4 and 28.8 modem) users.
The naming protocol is EM137.exe. Graphics may not be optimum in these
documents due to originals and file size considerations.
Upon receiving your
paid registration, we will send you the password to open these. We recommend
you print out the pages as you need them and keep them as a paper reference.
The test is submitted
online. When you pass the test, you will be mailed a certificate of completion.

The final exam is
24 questions taken from the reading material. You may use any of the materials
while taking the test.
